B.SC – ELECTRONICS &COMMUNICATION (SELF-FINANCED COURSE)
2. History of the department:

The Department was established in the academic year 1996. Our college was the first to offer B.Sc. Electronics in Madurai. In order to be updated with the syllabus, the course was converted into Electronics Communication in June 2002.The Dept accommodates nearly 85 students and 5 faculty members The dept has been producing tremendous results during the past years.
3. Objectives:

The objective of the Course is to mould the students for a bright future. The students are trained to concert whatever they learn in classroom into more practical knowledge. The students are taught to convert knowledge into wealth through innovative means. Our department also trains the students in self employment through the additional free courses on latest technology.
4. Eligibility For Admission:

Candidates should have passed in the Higher secondary Examination, Govt. Of Tamil Nadu or any other examination conducted by the Board of Higher secondary Examination accepted by the syndicate as equivalent there to, with (i)Mathematics and (ii) at least one of the following subjects: Physics, chemistry and computer science.

Or

A pass in Diploma in Electronics & Communication.(DECE)
5. Duration Of The Course:

The duration of the course shall be three academic years comprising six semesters with two semesters in each academic year.

7. Course Content:


The course includes 2 theory papers, 8 Practicals and a project work in the final semester. Some of the important papers offered are, engineering Mathematics, Analog and Digital communication, Microprocessor and Micro controller, Electron devices,& circuits, Digital Electronics, Linear Integrated circuits, Digital signal processing. Computer Networks, Microwave& Radar systems, Television systems & computer programming papers in C & C++.
