Sourashtra
College is governed by the Managing Committee of the Sourashtra Council
with eight members including office bearers (President, Secretary, Treasurer
and Four members) and Principal as Ex-officio member. Sourashtra College's educational heritage is very important. Managing Committee has complete power over Sourashtra College and dictates what to do in a polite way for college reputation. Council is formed from several persons who are possessing personal and social status, dignity, contribution to community and society. The members show interest in education and dispensing their dutiful services with great enthusiasm and a tremendous amount of work towards solidarity. Thiru. S.K. Jegannathan is an efficient President of Sourashtra College Council and effective Councillor of Madurai Corporation. As a Councillor, he sets the pattern for others to follow. He initiates many concrete plans to solve the problems arising in his ward. Patronizing smile, exchanging feeling and thought with others, stubborn in nature to achieve things are his characteristic features. He is a real lifetime achiever. His aim is to create a Society in which everyone is treated equally. He likes everyone else. He is a born socialist, he maintains a dignified silence whenever he achieves success. He is maintaining close relation with other Council members. |

Being a distinguished Lawyer by Profession, he chooses to be a politically
precise man, care for ordinary people and lover of education. As he is a
staunch devotee of Sri Satya Sai Baba, he takes many more steps to improve
the conditions of socially and economically backward people. He had the
additional credit as Secretary and senior member of the Managing Committee
for Sourashtra Higher Secondary School for Boys. While he was Secretary
of Sourashtra College Council, he executed many concrete plans to successfully
come out of various job oriented and Professional Courses viz., M.B.A.,
B.Sc (Bio-Chemistry) He was once a noted player and top spirited in Scout. He occupies a key position in Sri Prasanna Venkateshwara Matriculation School. His service is recognized by all and his fame will rule in the minds of lakhs and lakhs of people. |

He is an eminent architect of Sourashtra College and widely associated with the administration of K.L.N. College of Engineering and K.L. Nagasamy Memorial Polytechnic and Sourashtra College for Women. He is a man of exemplary character and a good executor. He is a smart and genius gentleman and exactly practical in making Sourashtra College a top ranking one. He is instrumental for many innovative programmes going on in Sourashtra College. With his support only, all departments are potent and get modernized. It is very crystal clear that he is a man to take careful initiative and special effort for establishing Sourashtra College for Women. He is a leader of both young and old embodiment of successful youth. His valuable contribution towards the upkeep of Sourashtra College is remarkably great and no one can surpass him in anyway. |

Thiru. P.K. Mothilal is a distinguished sports man and fascinating industrialist well known to Madurai city and sole proprietor of ELMO Motors. He is the obvious choice for the post of Treasurer. His priority is to improve the financial stability of Sourashtra College. He is maintaining a very fine status quo in performance. As a Treasurer, he is dealing first with the student's welfare and then to raise funds for the well being of students of Sourashtra College. It is his most successful period as treasurer of the Sourashtra College. He has a very good influence on industry. He is currently connected with KLN Poly Technic Management committee and KLN Engineering Council. He has a philanthropic mind. He hails from an extremely good and performance oriented family. He has a glorious history in sports and adorned with many victories. He has received so many prizes in Basketball, besides other games. The position to stabilize the financial position of Sourashtra College has become the main target with management council. |

Thiru. K.M. Ragunath is a man of appreciable character and a kind-hearted gentleman. He is an ethical man possessing professional etiquette. More respect for him as he was President of Sourashtra College in 1991 - 1994. As an Industrialist he is well known and respected by everyone. As a courageous man, he deserves good name and fame. He is part and parcel of so many industry-based associations in Madurai District Small Scale Industries, Aluminium manufactures association, and Jet pump manufacturers Association. He has been contributing a lot to the associations where he is associated. Besides his busy schedule, he does so many good things for the glory of his community. He is a magnanimous person and mingles with poverty stricken people for the cause of social upward ness. It is essential here to remember his glorious service, when he adorned the chair of Presidentship of Sourashtra Higher Secondary School for boys in the last decade. |
